Years ago Stan and I were members of an ad hoc group of tennis players at the Wilmington Park tennis courts. Stan always had a cheery, friendly disposition and anecdotes that were interesting and often very funny. In recent years, our meetings were infrequent but provided a few moments to reminense...often about our children. My condolences Ann, to you and your family. Peter Preston

I want to send my condolences. When my Dad, Pete Preston, shared the news of Stan's passing I felt I needed to reach out and share a pleasant memory from my high school period in Savannah. Dad and I played tennis with Trisha and Stan on a warm sunny day. I will always remember the laughter and the friendly competition from a very busy period in my life. May the peace of the holiday season be with Trisha and the Davidson family. Joe Preston, Louisville, TN

The Manly and Harriet Yeilding family in Birmingham, Alabama sends heartfelt condolences to Ann and the Davidson family. Stan gave so much joy to others with his fun loving spirit and steadfast friendship. We Yeilding children will always remember our trip as teenagers wiith Stan and Ann across Europe, and Manly and Harriet enjoyed a lifetime of friendship and traveling excursions with the Davidsons. What a wonderful, rich life Stan had. We know you treasure having had him as a part of your lives and will miss him sorely. In this time of Advent, we also join with you in giving a heartfelt thanks for the joy we all experienced from knowing Stan and knowing he led such a complete, well lived life. Peace.
